Are you stoked to be a Provo Promise kid? We’re excited to be a part of your future!

Let’s get started. Here’s a list of everything you need with your application.

Have questions? No problem. The Provo Promise isn’t just a scholarship–it’s your link to college. It’s not just about what you know, but who you know, right? You know the right people with us!

Applying for a Scholarship

To be eligible for a Provo Promise scholarship, applicant must meet the following requirements:

1. Be full-time residents (parent/legal guardian and student) of Provo, Utah, USA for at least two years prior to graduation (must include senior year)

2. Be a high school senior attending Timpview High School, Provo High School, or Independence High School, in Provo, Utah, USA, after the year 2018

3. Plan to attend Utah Valley University (UVU) full-time, or a certification at Mountainland Applied Technical college (MATC).

4. Provo Promise Scholarships must be activated within the first school year after graduation (deferments for a LDS full-time mission, military or a full-term pregnancy require special applications)

Submit your Provo Promise application by March 1st with:

  1. High school transcript

  2. Proof you applied to UVU or MATC
  3. Submit proof of your SAT, ACT, and/or CPT (College Placement Test) score (if applying to UVU). This is part of the UVU application, so the score itself doesn’t matter.

  4. If you are a US citizen or legal alien, apply for financial aid (FAFSA), and provide a copy of SAR (Student Aid Report)

  5. Apply for at least one outside scholarship (ideas: Latinos in Action, Gear Up, Trio, UVU)

      Hi, Celina!

The Provo Promise won’t be accepting applicants until we’ve finished the fundraising portion of our mission (estimated 2018 school year). We can get there faster if community members like you share our mission, follow us on social media, and donate anything you can.

Thank you for believing in Provo’s Children! We’re excited to help!
